Psychotherapy and Counselling

Tricia Worthington

A very warm welcome to my website.

More than ever people are recognising the need to explore difficult feelings with a professional therapist. Whilst the prevalence of mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression is becoming more accepted, acknowledging that there is a problem can be a very hard thing to do. For many people, coming to the decision to ask for help is not easy.

I am a qualified CBT therapist, accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor.

I provide face to face sessions on Tuesday and Thursdays at:

Network Counselling and Training
Elm Park
Filton
BS34 7PS

Online sessions are available on Wednesdays.

I can provide short and long term therapy to individuals.

I can work with you using CBT or an Integrative approach.  Adapting the therapy to suit your specific needs and goals is central to my work. My aim is to help you feel better, understand yourself more fully and give you skills and techniques so that you can become your own therapist.

I strongly believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and in taking the time to find the most helpful and effective way of working with you. Working with me is focused and at your pace, not rushed.

As a mental health practitioner I treat depression and anxiety including: panic attacks, phobias (including social phobia and agoraphobia) post-traumatic stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). In my capacity as a counsellor I work with relationship problems, bereavement, loss and low self-esteem.

I provide professional, confidential and supportive therapy that promotes wellness, self-awareness and personal development. My aim is to help you have:
"the capacity to love, to enjoy your work and creativity, to be at ease with yourself and to feel alive."
You can't stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf!

If you were to contact me I would suggest we meet to explore the issues for which you are seeking help. I can then assess if I can help and how we could work together.

To get in touch, you can contact me by telephone on 07962 892060 or by email at tricia@bristol-psychotherapycounselling.co.uk.
