Talking to a therapist can help relieve stress, generate change and bring about a greater sense of well-being.
I offer a confidential setting in a private consulting room. My aim is to enable you to talk about the difficulties you face in your life so that you reach a deeper understanding of yourself.
Therapy can be helpful:
Each counselling session lasts fifty minutes, on a regular weekly basis. The initial consultation is for you to decide whether the therapy is right for you. If I feel that my approach is not appropriate or if your needs require specialist care or a particular working environment I am unable to provide, I will refer you on.
Some of the of issues I work with include: depression (post-natal and perinatal), anxiety, panic attacks, relationship issues, violence and abuse, obsessions, traumatic events, anger, sexual problems, boredom/lack of fulfilment, bereavement, low self-esteem, phobias, college and work related issues including stress, redundancy, suicidal feelings, infertility, miscarriage, parenting, self-loathing, feelings of failure, isolation and difference, drugs and alcohol abuse, addictions, and psychosomatic symptoms. I also work with people who are simply seeking a deeper reflection on their lives.
