What I offer
My aim is to help relieve the symptoms of depression and anxiety, generate
change and bring about a greater sense of well-being.
I offer a confidential setting in a private consulting room in my home. I
enable you to talk about the difficulties you face in your life so that you can
identify the changes you need to make and move forward in your life with a
deeper understanding of yourself.
Each therapy session lasts fifty minutes, usually on a regular weekly basis. The initial consultation is for you to decide whether you can work with me and whether the therapy is right for you. If I feel that my approach is not going to be helpful or if your needs require specialist care or a particular working environment I am unable to provide, I will refer you on.
Therapy can be helpful if you are:
- Suffering from depression, or dissatisfaction at work or in a relationship. Your symptoms may include: low mood, loss of interest in activities you used to enjoy doing, trouble with sleeping, change in your appetite, reduced energy, lack of motivation, low self-esteem, poor concentration or difficulty making decisions and a general feeling of hopelessness.
- Feeling anxious and stressed;
you worry excessively, feel keyed up and restless; You're irritable, suffer with sleep disturbances and feel
muscle tension.
- Afraid of having a panic attack (heart racing, sweating, shaking, fear
of dying or losing control).
